As we head into 2018, it is a time for reflection. Last year offered many opportunities for us to serve and educate the future of the modern workforce. Here are 7 exciting things iCEV did in 2017.
1. Certified 5,000 Students!
Last year, 5,000 students earned industry certifications hosted on the iCEV platform. Team iCEV recognized schools who had over 10 students earn certifications by awarding them wall mounts. We loved seeing how excited students were when they saw their names listed!
2. Launched the Certify10k Campaign.
Thousands of CTE professionals came together during the 2016-17 school year to certify 5,000 students with certifications hosted on the iCEV platform. This year, we want to prepare twice as many students for future careers. Through our Certify10k campaign, we've set a goal to double that number by certifying 10,000 students during the 2017 - 2018 school year.
3. Added New Content
iCEV is constantly being updated with new courses and lessons. This year, we introduced six new courses including Forensic Science, Law Enforcement, Social Media Marketing, Instructional Practices in Education & Training and more.
4. Added a New Certification
Last year, we added the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) Principles of Small Engine Technology Certification to the iCEV testing platform. EETC created this certification to address the need for formal training opportunities and the shortage of qualified technicians in the small engine and power equipment industry.
5. Updated the iCEV Platform and Added New Features
In 2017, we added 179 interactive activities to 102 different lessons. We also made our platform even more user-friendly by adding new features. Specifically, we introduced randomized assessments, hybrid lessons, Clever logins and more.
6. Featured Innovative iCEV Users
We love highlighting schools that are doing unique things with their programs. This year, we featured King City High School, Gridley High School, Adair County High School and Cheyenne East High School.
7. Honored CTE Educators
VISION 2017 was a huge success! In addition to sponsoring the Opening General Session, we proudly honored CTE Educators with a special video.
