Introducing Keynote Speaker: Sean Buchanan

iCEV is excited to host the first ever iCEV Certification Prep Academy for North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina CTE educators September 29th and 30th in Raleigh, North Carolina. Through engaging sessions, educators will learn actionable steps, tactics and strategies to prepare students for a certification exam. At the end of the event, educators will have the opportunity to sit for a certification exam of their choice. Teachers will also be awarded a certificate for one CEU credit or up to 10 PD hours after attending the event. Additionally, educators will receive a second CEU credit upon passing a certification exam hosted on the iCEV Testing Platform. Learn more and register through the button below.

Sean Buchanan

Sean Buchanan is an author, international speaker, consultant, and public-school superintendent. He has become a leading expert in forming connections with and motivating educators through leveraging the power of human connection. His student-first philosophies have been presented to, and implemented by, thousands of educators both nationally and internationally. Mr. Buchanan was born and raised in Oklahoma and has dedicated his life to inspiring educators and driving student achievement.

What to Expect

This session features evidence-based strategies that will increase learning and rates of student success. Sean Buchanan’s fast-paced (and funny) session, full of stories and solutions for reaching students and parents who may be apathetic in their outlook toward education, struggle with discipline issues, or lack motivation. Mr. Buchanan dives deep into the role educators play in providing motivation to boost student performance, while also explaining the role of internal motivation of adults in the education process. Finally, he underscores the impact of relationships in the achievement process and why T.L.C. is the glue that keeps it all together.
